Frequently Asked Questions

Management Quality

At WorkWhile, the work is never abstract — whatever your role, your impact reaches over 1.3 million workers and the businesses that depend on them. Managers lead with context and care, backed by regular 1:1s, formalized review cycles and a culture of recognition through public #kudos and #wins Slack channels. In-person offsites bring distributed teams together to build the trust that makes great work possible.

Organizational Clarity

Communication at WorkWhile runs both ways. A weekly All Hands keeps every team member connected to OKRs and company priorities, with a regular CEO update where Simon Khalaf speaks candidly about what's on his mind. Employee surveys close the loop, giving everyone a voice in what's working and what isn't. Goals span both business outcomes and mission — from growth targets to platform reliability to expanding how WorkWhile supports workers financially.

Strategic Vision & Direction

WorkWhile's leaders set direction clearly and openly — through weekly All Hands, OKR sharing and a CEO Corner where the leadership team speaks candidly about where the business is headed. The vision is concrete: build the AI-native operating system for hourly labor, expand into worker financial services, and ensure workers don't just find work — they build better lives from it. It's a vision backed by results — 110% growth in nine months and over 1.3 million workers served.

WorkWhile's leadership combines deep operator experience with genuine conviction in the mission. Cofounder and President Jarah Euston started her career in hourly retail work before Wharton, BCG and big tech — she's building a company she wishes had existed then. CEO Simon Khalaf spent three decades scaling media and fintech companies and was drawn to WorkWhile because of its worker-first philosophy. At WorkWhile, leadership isn't separate from the mission — it's defined by it.

WorkWhile Employee Perspectives

WorkWhile, an AI-powered workforce management platform, has named Simon Khalaf as chief executive officer, with co-founder Jarah Euston transitioning to president and chief operating officer.

According to a news release, Khalaf has served on WorkWhile’s board for several years and previously held senior leadership roles at Marqeta, Twilio, Yahoo and Verizon, where he helped build and scale technology and media businesses.

“I’ve worked alongside Simon for over a decade,” Euston said in a statement. “He understands this company deeply. With him leading as CEO, I can focus fully on driving growth and ensuring we continue delivering for our workers and customers.”

WorkWhile also announced an expansion into worker-focused financial services with the launch of a real-time pay feature that allows workers to access their earned wages immediately.

In a statement, Khalaf said WorkWhile’s AI platform was designed to provide income opportunities, but the company’s broader goal is to help workers achieve financial stability and succeed in today’s economic environment.

As part of its commitment to improving the lives of hourly workers, WorkWhile announced the launch of a new WorkWhile Econ Lab — a dedicated research and policy initiative focused on the future of work. Led by economist Dr. Debora Loccisano and Chief Economist Alan Armen, the lab uses real-time labor market data to produce research and collaborate with policymakers to build a more equitable and efficient labor system.

The lab will also partner with researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to produce evidence-based insights on labor markets in the age of AI. By combining rigorous economic research with real-time workforce data, WorkWhile aims to help design solutions that promote stable income, meaningful benefits, and greater opportunity for the 80 million Americans working hourly jobs.
