Executes and oversees daily securities lending operations, resolves complex issues, maintains controls and management reporting, supports trading teams, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Leads fund financial, sustainability, and regulatory reporting for Vanguard Super and Vanguard Australia. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and APRA reports, interpreting regulatory and accounting requirements, managing reporting data governance and controls, coordinating audits and service providers, advising senior stakeholders, leading regulatory change workstreams, improving reporting through automation and analytics, and coaching team members.

Review and validate financial and regulatory reporting for managed funds and ETFs under Australian standards. Perform analytical reviews, resolve reporting exceptions, support distributions, liaise with auditors and custodians, maintain controls and documentation, and contribute to process improvements and implementation of regulatory and accounting changes.

Leads compliance inspections, monitoring, investigations, and regulatory control testing. Advises business stakeholders on compliance risks, develops policies and procedures, prepares assessment reports, researches regulatory issues, tracks corrective actions, and maintains knowledge of investment industry regulations. Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and supports compliance improvement projects.

Lead APAC physical security intelligence activities, including threat monitoring, geopolitical and crime analysis, intelligence production, executive briefings, travel advisories, crisis support, and horizon scanning. Develop regional intelligence capabilities, partner with security and business stakeholders, support global follow-the-sun operations, and improve collection, automation, OSINT, and analytical processes.

Conduct risk-based internal audits and consulting engagements covering governance, processes, technology, controls, and operations. Evaluate control effectiveness, perform testing and analysis, prepare audit documentation and reports, communicate findings and remediation recommendations to management, and contribute to audit strategy and department initiatives. The role requires knowledge of Australian financial services regulations, strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Respond to and resolve complex security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, build detections and automation, monitor third-party suppliers, conduct audits, correlate data from CND tools, and coordinate cross-functional and executive communications to improve security posture.

Provides advanced production support for critical trading applications, databases, and systems. Leads incident monitoring, outage resolution, root cause analysis, system health checks, data-flow analysis, SLA management, documentation, and continuous improvement. Serves as a technical liaison to trading-floor users, business stakeholders, and vendors while mentoring junior analysts. Requires financial-services production support experience and familiarity with cloud environments, UNIX, Oracle, Python, OMS, and trading systems.

Provides commercial, governance, operational, and regulatory legal advice to support Vanguard’s business objectives. Responsibilities include commercial contracting and procurement advice, Company Secretary and board governance support, legal document drafting and review, research and analysis, dispute resolution, regulatory monitoring, and legal process improvement through technology.

Supports Vanguard’s data privacy program by interpreting Australian privacy laws, conducting privacy and risk assessments, advising business partners on Privacy by Design, maintaining policies and controls, monitoring regulatory developments, supporting incident response, and delivering training. The role collaborates with legal and business leaders to implement privacy requirements, mitigate incidents, and manage privacy risks within a highly regulated organisation.

Lead customer identity and access management strategy, architecture, engineering, and operations. Manage managers and multidisciplinary teams delivering authentication, authorization, federation, identity lifecycle, privacy, audit, and risk-based access capabilities. Establish security standards and architecture patterns, ensure resilient production identity services, drive platform modernization, and partner with business, technology, risk, privacy, and global stakeholders to advance enterprise security strategy.

Provides senior operational support for AWS cloud platforms, handling escalations, major incidents, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and service restoration. Develops infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and Terraform, supports CI/CD, and improves automation, observability, reliability, governance, security, and resiliency. Partners with engineering, security, infrastructure, and resiliency teams; mentors junior engineers; maintains documentation; and participates in on-call and major incident rotations.

Leads Vanguard Australia’s fund financial and regulatory reporting for Vanguard Super, covering APRA, ASIC, sustainability, indirect costs, financial statements, controls, governance, audits, and regulatory engagement. Interprets changing regulations, translates requirements into scalable processes, oversees reporting deliverables, drives technology and process improvements, manages stakeholders, and leads a team of technical reporting specialists.
