Lead RMIT’s RACE and RAIL digital research infrastructure programs, managing multidisciplinary specialists and partnerships with researchers, technology providers, government agencies, and industry. Provide executive-level advice on cloud, advanced computing, AI, data services, strategy, investment, and policy. Translate complex technical concepts into research solutions, build strategic collaborations, and foster high-performance, inclusive teams that enable data-intensive and translational research outcomes.

Leads RMIT’s research data infrastructure agenda, developing frameworks, services, governance, metadata standards and scalable storage solutions across the research lifecycle. Partners with researchers, technology teams, the Library, governance leaders and external stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant and interoperable cloud, hybrid and preservation environments. The role also drives strategic initiatives, supports responsible AI practices, aligns services with FAIR and CARE principles, and influences university-wide change.

Build and manage strategic partnerships across government, community services, not-for-profit, industry, and workforce development sectors. Identify shared challenges, interpret sector trends, develop opportunity pipelines, and support collaborative tenders, funded initiatives, service agreements, and projects. The role requires executive-level relationship building, negotiation, influencing, sector knowledge, and independent management of complex priorities to create sustainable social and workforce outcomes.
