Provides second-line compliance oversight across AML/CTF, AFSL, and broader regulatory obligations. Responsibilities include reviewing risk assessments and client onboarding, enhancing compliance frameworks and controls, conducting monitoring and thematic reviews, managing breaches and incidents, advising business teams, delivering training, and supporting engagement with ASIC, AUSTRAC, AFCA, and other regulators.

Support engagement independence activities by managing compliance systems and processes, clearing prospective audit clients, assessing non-assurance service permissibility, evaluating new services, preparing independence memoranda, answering stakeholder queries, and improving operational processes. The role requires knowledge of auditor independence rules, risk or audit experience in professional services, strong technical judgment, and effective communication with Partners and staff.

Perform KYC, AML, and CDD reviews for new and existing clients. Verify ownership and identity information, conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, assess financial crime and jurisdictional risks, complete enhanced due diligence, manage case portfolios, maintain auditable records, provide guidance to stakeholders, escalate complex matters, and improve compliance processes and controls.
