Lead engineering delivery and people leadership across a 40–50-person organization through 5–7 Development Managers. Own delivery performance, capacity planning, operating models, engineering metrics, hiring, organizational design, career pathways, retention, quality, reliability, security, and technical execution. Partner closely with Product, Technology, People & Culture, and executive leadership to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities and ensure predictable, scalable delivery across a product-led SaaS environment.

Own end-to-end recruitment across all business functions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and closing. Administer the Workable ATS, build proactive talent pipelines, partner with hiring managers, improve candidate experience, manage employer branding, report recruitment metrics, coordinate workforce planning, and oversee agency relationships. The role is Compass Education’s first dedicated talent acquisition position and operates in a hybrid Melbourne setting.

Identify and evaluate product opportunities across Compass’s school management platform. Conduct customer discovery, assess commercial viability, build business cases, and create prototypes using Figma and AI-assisted design tools. Present recommendations to executives, hand concepts to product teams, and advise during early development. The role combines product strategy, design judgment, financial modeling, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
