Graduate software engineers will develop open-source and commercial software across the Linux stack, from firmware, kernels, and drivers to desktop applications, containers, clouds, and Kubernetes. Responsibilities include writing resilient, performant code, contributing to product roadmaps, engaging with users and open-source communities, addressing customer issues, and developing secure software. The role is globally remote with twice-yearly international team sprints and emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and continuous technical growth.

Supports corporate operations by coordinating reports, meetings, interviews, executive meetings, international events, travel, expenses, suppliers, and stakeholders. The role requires excellent organization, communication, judgment, accountability, and attention to detail in a globally distributed environment. Candidates should be able to travel for company events, learn new technology quickly, and manage processes and initiatives across departments.

Leads a remote engineering team building scalable Python and Golang microservices for Canonical’s software distribution marketplaces. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing engineers, managing delivery and expectations, shaping technical strategy and roadmaps, reviewing code, guiding architecture, maintaining engineering quality, and collaborating with product managers, architects, other teams, open-source contributors, and commercial partners.
