  • Develop and implement a scalable Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) strategy aligned with company objectives and legislative requirements.
  • Partner with leaders and key stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture and drive accountability for WHS outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate WHS risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions which can be scaled globally.
  • Develop and deliver WHS training programs to build awareness and capability across Atlassian.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in WHS practices, leveraging technology and best practices.


  • Relevant qualification in Workplace Health and Safety and knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
  • Proven experience in a WHS leadership role, with a track record of developing and implementing WHS strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Expertise in risk management, incident investigation, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for fostering a safety-first culture and driving continuous improvement.
