About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Finance System Administrator to join our Enterprise Procurement & Product Management team on an 18-month maternity leave contract with a view to transition into a permanent role. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in configuring and supporting finance systems, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment or an accountant wanting to move into the finance systems space.

You’ll work closely with the internal support team to deliver fixes and improvements that align with strategic priorities and support the ongoing evolution of our recently implemented workday platform.

Ideally, you will be able to commence this year (before our December closure) and the role can be based out of any major Australian city.

The Service Line (About)

Our Workday Support Team was established to drive the success of our Workday HCM and Financials implementation. We oversee project prioritisation, cross-functional decision-making, data standardisation, issue resolution, release management, and provide strategic direction for ongoing support and optimisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and support the optimisation of key finance processes including Financial Accounting, Expenses, Accountants Payab;e, Accountants Receivable and Projects.

  • Provide system support via a ticketing system, including ticket prioritisation, resolution development, testing and communication back to end users.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather business requirements, troubleshoot issues, develop functional specifications for system fixes and enhancements and implement solutions.

  • Participate in continued system feature release updates, assessing impacts to the business and executing system testing.

  • Develop and maintain clear system documentation, including process flows and configuration guides.

  • Skilled in reporting and analytics.

Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in configuring and supporting finance systems including Workday, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly regarded).

  • Experience in a commercial finance environment, ideally with hands-on exposure to accounting operations such as journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.

  • Degree in accounting or related field.

  • Collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience in the professional services industry preferred but not essential.
