Wholesale Planning Manager

PUMA is in growth mode and we're searching for a Wholesale Planning Manager who can match our pace, precision, and ambition.

This isn’t just a planning role this is your shot at owning the strategy behind how product gets to market across one of the fastest sports brands on the planet. You’ll be the glue between planning, sales, merchandising, and operations. It’s high visibility. High impact. High expectations.

What You’ll Be Driving:

Pre-Season Strategy & Demand Planning
You’ll take the reins of our pre-season planning process leading demand reviews and building out a forward-looking 24-month plan. This includes partnering closely with Merchandising, Sales, and Operations to ensure we’re delivering the right product to the right customers at the right time. Your planning will directly shape our commercial success, customer delivery precision, and inventory health.

In-Season Performance & Trade Optimization
Stay on the pulse of in-season performance. You’ll develop dashboards and tools to track sell-in vs sell-through, identify risks and opportunities, and refine our approach in real time. Whether it’s adjusting a range, reconciling orders, or pushing go-to-market decisions you’re the engine room keeping the season humming.

Strategic Planning & Process Elevation
You’ll lead the charge in evolving our planning strategy driving continuous improvement across tools, processes, and insights. Your lens will be both wide and deep: post-launch reviews, Go-To-Market (GTM) performance analysis, and implementing best-practice planning frameworks. You won’t just follow process you’ll make it better.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
This isn’t a siloed gig. You’ll lead a small but mighty planning function, mentoring talent and working shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations. You’re a natural communicator, a collaborator, and someone who can cut through noise to influence across the business.

Inventory Control & Channel Agility
Inventory doesn’t sit still, and neither do you. From forecasting to aging stock to cross-channel movement — you’ll help drive strategic inventory decisions that unlock product movement, maximise sell-through, and improve months cover. You’ll be a key voice in our omni-channel inventory story.

Why this role?

Because it's yours to shape. You'll lead our wholesale planning function, drive the IBP agenda, optimise stock, influence go-to-market, and build the process muscle that keeps us ahead. You’ll be working cross-functionally, mentoring talent, and rolling up your sleeves when it counts.

YOUR TALENTWho You Are:

We’re not looking for average. This is a high-impact role that demands someone who thrives in complexity, moves with intent, and sees the bigger picture always. You’ll be the one turning data into action, plans into performance, and challenges into commercial wins.

What We Need:A planning background that’s rock solid. You know the difference between a forecast and a guess — and your ability to spot opportunity in the numbers is next-level.

A serious go-getter mindset. You don’t wait for permission you take the lead, challenge the status quo, and deliver outcomes with speed and confidence.

Agility in spades. Things move fast here. You’ll need to pivot quickly and discern sharp balancing data, gut instinct, and commercial judgement in real time.

A strategic operator. You're not just about spreadsheets you're about building plans that serve customers, shift product, and grow the business.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
