As part of the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Middle Office team, you'll partner with the front office and clients to facilitate the end-to-end client onboarding process. As a Wholesale KYC Middle Office Associate in the WKO team, you will manage the Front Office relationship for business requests in KYC Onboarding, Remediation, and Renewals. Your role is crucial in facilitating the client onboarding process, ensuring all due diligence documentation is sourced and delivered to the KYC Production team. You'll interact with key stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Credit, and Operations to eliminate roadblocks and ensure continuity of information flow.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage new business requests from the Front Office and facilitate the KYC process end-to-end.
- Act as an SME and Due Diligence expert to guide clients through KYC requirements.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on client ownership structures using publicly available sources.
- Work closely with the Front Office and clients to obtain necessary supporting evidence.
- Follow up with KYC production teams to ensure onboarding is completed within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise with the business to conduct workload planning and prioritize open requests.
- Interact with key stakeholders to develop strong partnerships and ensure information flow.
- Assist Relationship Managers with overnight screening, client exits, and other KYC tasks.
- Manage personal workload and priority items, ensuring timely escalation of risks/issues.
- Keep informed of changes to processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the financial industry with expertise in Corporate and Investment Bank.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Prior experience adhering to controls and compliance standards.
- Fluency in written and verbal Japanese and English.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- At least 2-4 years of experience in KYC & Client Onboarding.
- Experience in Audit, Control, Risk, or AML/Compliance.
