About the Role

We’re looking for a Video Producer to establish video as a consistent, scalable growth channel that drives traffic, engagement, and conversion.

This is a full-time position.

This role owns the end-to-end video pipeline and is accountable for turning video into a measurable acquisition channel, not just producing content.

The VP is expected to create videos featuring a multitude of different game titles, including Minecraft, Rust, Hytale, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and more, so gaming experience & having a good understanding of the culture will be a strong asset.

A typical day for Shockbyte's Video Content Producer would include spending time in-game capturing footage to be edited. This isn't your typical Video Content role where you'll be using a camera to film often.

    • 2–3 short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
  • Translating complex product features into clear, engaging educational and entertainment-led content.
  • Repurposing long-form content into short-form assets to maximise output and return on investment.
  • Building and maintaining a repeatable content pipeline and reusable media library.
  • Collaborating with marketing, product, and community teams to support launches, campaigns, and growth initiatives.
  • Analysing performance metrics including viewer retention, watch time, engagement, traffic, and subscriber growth, and continuously optimising thumbnails, hooks, formats, and CTAs.
  • Contributing to measurable growth in organic video traffic and supporting improved conversion through product education and storytelling.
You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Balance speed and quality while maintaining consistent output.
  • Use data to refine creative decisions and improve performance.
  • Think like a growth marketer and execute like a producer.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate across teams.

RequirementsCore Skills
  • Proficiency in editing tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or After Effects.

  • Strong scripting and short-form copywriting skills.

Bonus XP (Nice to Have)
  • Experience producing content in gaming, tech, or SaaS.
  • On-camera presentation experience.
  • Motion graphics or animation capability.
  • Experience testing and optimising thumbnails, titles, and hooks for performance uplift.
Experience
  • 2–3 years’ experience in video production, social content creation, digital storytelling, or a related field

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
