The Commercial & New Payment Flows organization at Mastercard drives innovative products and solutions for our customers unlocking payment flows across key business areas covering Commercial and B2B, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Transfer Solutions. Products and solutions supported by the business include commercial cards, B2B, accounts payable and receivables, non-carded bill payments, and disbursements and remittances.
About the Role
• The Commercialization lead, Mastercard Cross Border Services, Transfer Solutions EEMEA is responsible to design and execute the GTM strategy in the EEMEA region in partnership with FI account team, NBFI(non-banking Financial Institutions) account team and with support of Market Development, product and broader cross-functional team -Operations, Delivery, Compliance, Legal, Marketing.• This role is accountable for the ultimate success of Mastercard Cross Border Services in EEMEA within the NBFI, Market Development segment and FI in its network franchise expansion and the resulting Remittance and B2B cross border payments business, from launch through to Scale and Revenue. • The role is not only is responsible for business development of FI & NBFI but also deal performance with the FIs.• The Division Leads, Cross Border services FI & NBFI in the region directly report into this role lead.• This role is accountable for P&L and all commercial aspects of the Mastercard cross border services in the FI, NBFI and Market Development segment including product positioning, product pricing strategy, incentive agreements, etc. including preparing business cases as well as to ensure revenue assurance. • Empowers sales specialists, Cross Border services FI and NBFI to farm and hunt in partnership with Customer Solution Center, Account Management and Market Development team. Supports cluster and divisional level planning, opportunity identification, and solutioning for frontline sales• Meets key customers to support important pitches and understand their needs• Works with cross-functional team to manages their capacity to ensure that each prioritized opportunity gets the right level of support it requires from product capability development to delivery to operations to consumer and customer engagement• Guide and influence the market value proposition through research, insights, clear understanding of customer segments and deliver go-to-market plans that differentiate Mastercard from our competitors. Provides market intelligence and requirements to regional Product Management and Product Development teams along with their associated product specialists• Understands new products & capabilities working together with product specialists to ensure that information is shared and utilized across all customer solutions center resources. Expand the customer proposition to broader multi-rail proposition and embed services to driver higher revenue yield• Responsible to position Mastercard Cross Border services with clients, regulators and other relevant market stakeholders and participants• Establish and foster value cantered relationships with key SMEs within the key clients• Develop a strong culture of collaboration and cross functional relationship building within the team.
All About You
• In depth understanding of the XB Remittance industry, preferably with good knowledge of EEMEA region.• Preferably a direct business development experience in the Cross Border services space either within a major Cross Border Services provider or transaction banking space• Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to engage Sr executives on Strategy• Strong people management and leadership experience, in a matrix environment.• Consultative problem-solving skills, with excellent negotiation capabilities and demonstrated influencing skills. Also, good presentation and communication skills.• Be able to understand and leverage broader payments technology and innovation to drive results• Should be an outstanding cross-cultural communicator and highly dedicated to ongoing process improvements and cost control. • Should possess the ability to see the big picture as well as perform deep dive into the subject matter.• Must live the Mastercard way values and lead by example by performing to the highest levels expected by peers and by management.
