Your New Role and Responsibilities
As the Vice President, Human Resources for Leidos Australia, you will shape how the organisation grows, performs, and leads through its people. This is an enterprise role that links workforce strategy, leadership, capability, culture, and technology to commercial outcomes and delivery excellence.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President HR in the United States and partnering closely with the Australian CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you will guide how Leidos builds a future-fit, inclusive, and high-performing workforce that enables mission success today and prepares us for what comes next.
You will:
Lead the enterprise people strategy by setting a clear, cohesive direction for workforce, capability, culture, and leadership that accelerates business growth, uplifts delivery performance, and improves commercial outcomes.
Build a future-fit workforce by integrating human capability with digital tools, automation, and AI to create adaptable, high-performing teams prepared for evolving client and organisational needs.
Lift leadership effectiveness and culture by developing inclusive, accountable, commercially fluent leaders.
Drive enterprise value through data by using workforce insights and evidence-based decision-making to optimise headcount, productivity, cost, and return on people investment.
Enhance organisational integrity and resilience by advising the CEO and ELT on people risk, governance, ethical practice, and organisational safety, while enabling flexibility, pace, and responsible innovation.
Represent Leidos externally by partnering with government, industry, and sector stakeholders to position Leidos as an employer of choice and support the development of Australia’s sovereign workforce and talent pipeline.
What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact
Extensive senior HR leadership experience across complex, multi-line or technology-driven organisations; proven influence at executive level.
Demonstrated success in architecting large-scale workforce, leadership, and culture transformation programs that deliver measurable business and commercial outcomes.
Informed understanding of financial drivers, business performance levers, and the relationship between workforce strategy, profitability, and client outcomes.
Deep understanding of organisational design, workforce planning, and advanced analytics to guide investment and performance decisions.
Skills in integrating HR technology, AI, and digital tools to enhance decision-making, simplify work, and accelerate learning and capability growth.
Leads with empathy, designs solutions that make work more meaningful and productive, and builds belonging and trust.
Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or related field (desirable).
