What team will you be on?
The Enablement Platforms for Innovation and Change (EPIC) team is a group of transformation specialists within Technology & Operations focused on driving strategy, implementation, and change initiatives that support BlackRock’s global ETF growth objectives. The team serves as a connective platform across the firm, partnering with business, technology, product, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable operating models and best-in-class outcomes for clients.
EPIC brings together professionals with diverse experiences and perspectives who are passionate about leading high-impact cross-functional initiatives across the ETF ecosystem. Team members play a critical role in improving processes, reducing complexity, enhancing efficiency through technology, and enabling sustainable business growth. Why is your role important?
As a Vice President on the EPIC team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic transformation initiatives across BlackRock's ETF platform. You will develop a deep understanding of the firm's operating model and ETF ecosystem while leveraging your financial markets expertise, problem-solving abilities, and technical acumen to solve complex business challenges.
This role extends beyond traditional project management and coordination. You will be expected to lead from the front, engage deeply in solution design and execution, and drive meaningful change across processes, technology, data, and organizational structures. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, stakeholder leadership, and a relentless focus on execution while supporting the firm's ambitious growth agenda.
What will you be doing?
- Lead strategic ETF platform transformation initiatives across internal teams and external service providers, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive platform growth, scalability, and operating model excellence.
- Design and implement scalable operating models, technology-enabled solutions, and data-driven capabilities that improve efficiency, support growth, and enhance commercial opportunities across the ETF ecosystem.
- Serve as a cross-functional ETF platform expert, connecting stakeholders across investments, capital markets, operations, technology, and servicing functions to deliver integrated business outcomes.
- Define project objectives, establish measurable outcomes, drive stakeholder alignment, and communicate progress effectively while maintaining a firm-wide perspective and fostering strong global partnerships.
- Lead complex testing and implementation activities, translating business needs into practical solutions and ensuring successful delivery of strategic change initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members, contributing to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated success leading complex, high-impact transformation programs within financial services or a related industry, with a proven record of delivering meaningful business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of investment management products and operating models, including ETFs and related asset classes, with experience across operational, servicing, fund accounting, custody, or banking environments preferred.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions, with experience operating at the intersection of business, product, technology, and platform design.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within globally distributed teams and complex organizational structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, assess risks, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Additional language capabilities in Japanese or Mandarin, along with experience in data analysis, automation, reporting, integrations, or related analytical technologies, are highly valued.
