How you’ll make an impact:
As our Vice President of Accounting, you will partner with our CFO to oversee the accounting operations of Strata. Every day you will interact with leaders and teams across our entire business. To thrive in this role, you must be a change agent who loves automation. In this role, you will:

  • Direct and manage all accounting activities, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations, including ASC 606 and Saas-specific revenue recognition practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Hire, train, and manage a high-performing, scalable accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure growth and best in class team results
  • Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations to align accounting policies and operational execution. Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Coordinating with internal and external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee cash management, and bank reconciliations.

What we’re looking for:

  • CPA and/or MBA are preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including SaaS or software industry experience.
  • Proven ability to accurately summarize analysis with relevant points for executive presentations
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-functional organization with high expectations
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and deliver timely and quality results with a focus on accuracy and integrity of data
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work and think independently, interpret and exercise professional judgment, creatively problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a core understanding of the importance of collaboration
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus

Estimated Salary Range: $200,000- $225,000
Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
