The Treasury Manager ensures the maintenance of corporate liquidity and financial stability. The incumbent manages processes for identification and mitigation of financial risks, monitors financial markets and trends, and ensures accurate internal reporting and supports accurate statutory reporting. Furthermore, the function holder develops and manages strategies, operations and policies relating to Treasury Manager activities.
The role will be responsible for the development and revision of internal guidelines for WUIB’s own foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk and minimum reserve management.
The incumbent is a project stakeholder with regards to international payments and correspondent banking activities performed via accounts held by WUIB (e.g. APN Project).
Role Responsibilities
• Manages the investment of daily short-term funds and debts. Manages foreign
exchange exposure in accordance with applicable policies and performs liquidity
forecasting, monitoring, analysis and reporting according regulatory requirements in the respective jurisdictions.
• Defines the bank account strategy for WUIB in alignment with WU Group Treasury.
Establishes and maintains commercial banking relationships and liaises with IT,
Operations, Compliance and other functional areas as well as outside providers to
design, develop and optimize operational processes and systems from an efficiency perspective.
• Serves as Client Money Officer and ensures compliance with MifiD Client Money rules
• Ensures that the minimum reserve requirement is fulfilled in all relevant jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance to all Basel III requirements in regards to the Liquidity Coverage
ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio and liquidity monitoring.
• Preparation and presentation of ALCO documentation during sessions in close
alignment with the ALCO Chairperson with the aim to continuously improve and fulfil
internal and regulatory requirements.
• Supports in all strategic projects of WUIB in regard to impact on the liquidity structure
and requirements.
• Supports WU internal projects with his expertise and knowledge in regard to
international payments and correspondent banking.
• Develops, identifies, analyses, and implements policy and process improvements to
enhance and operating efficiencies.
Role Requirements
• A minimum of 5 - 8 years progressive treasury or liquidity management experience in the banking industry
• Experience in international payments
A degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting or adequate alternative experience or qualification
• Solid understanding of the banking/liquidity/treasury services environment
• Solid understanding of international payment business
• International business exposure and knowledge
• Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent computing skills with all common office programs as well as Front-Office and Back-Office Systems, Reuters, Bloomberg
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Tact and diplomacy as well as ability to understand foreign cultures.
• Ability to work in a changing environment with multiple priorities
• Ability to work efficiently in a multicultural environment

Salary
We are under legal obligation to indicate the minimum salary, which is EUR 65.000 gross per year for this position. However, our attractive compensation packages follow current market salaries and can therefore be significantly above the indicated minimum salary.
