The Position:

The Transport Coordinator provides support to transport/intermodal operations by coordinating activities between internal departments, the customer, external carriers, and/or other Business units.

Job Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

Job Description:

  • Coordination of Sea Freight (FCL) import and export deliveries.
  • Coordination of Carrier payments and delivery order release.
  • Manage cartage providers on a day-to-day basis to adhere to agreed KPIs.
  • Main focus on liaising with Customers on agreed delivery requirements.
  • Monitoring and actioning Customs, AQIS, DAFF holds and booking inspections.
  • Effective and efficient use of our internal fleet and external service providers
  • Reduction of client transport liabilities.
  • Meeting the commercial needs of the organization and contributing to one of its main revenue streams.
  • Data analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience as transport coordinator in cartage/landside operations (FCL trucking).
  • Strong understanding of the current road logistics market in Australia.
  • Tech savvy mindset to optimize our new ways of working and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to hit the ground running.

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check. We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all legal requirements. Where applicable, background checks including Employment History and Education History (including Qualifications) may be required.
