A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Transit Senior Solution Engineer, reporting to the Senior Manager, Solution Engineering & Network Delivery.
A bit about your role
As a Transit Senior Solution Engineer at nbn, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering new end-to-end telecommunications network capabilities that support our evolving business and operational objectives. You’ll be part of an Agile Delivery Team within the System Engineering and Operations (SEO) division, contributing to the development of high-level designs, configurations, and test strategies that bring our Ethernet Aggregation Network (EAN) and associated platforms to life.
You’ll be responsible for breaking down engineering work into user stories, estimating and committing to delivery timelines, and ensuring the successful transition of network capabilities into production. Your expertise will help shape the future of nbn’s network, and your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to delivering high-quality outcomes.
This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the Technology Community of Practice (TCoP), helping to define and evolve engineering standards and practices across the organisation.
A bit about you
You are a technically skilled and detail-oriented network engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in designing, configuring, testing, and deploying telecommunications technologies in a carrier environment. You bring deep subject matter expertise in one or more network domains and are confident working with platforms such as EAN, AAS, SCN, BNTD, NCN, SEM, NFMP, EPNM, and Optima.
You thrive in Agile environments and are comfortable working across cross-functional teams to deliver complex network solutions. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills are strong, and you’re passionate about continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
You’re a collaborative team player who enjoys solving problems, supporting deployments, and contributing to the stability and evolution of production networks.
