You’ll join the Data Products Capability Crew within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO)—a team that delivers complex data engineering capabilities and drives modern data solutions across the Group. You’ll work closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to lead the evolution of our cloud-native platforms and API services, enabling faster, safer, and smarter product delivery.
Your impact and contribution
Lead the delivery of cloud-native services and API integration across our data platforms.
Define and maintain product roadmaps, technical backlogs, and lifecycle strategies.
Govern technical decisions, product enhancements, and architecture alignment.
Manage technology risks, including end-of-service (EOS), vulnerabilities, and audit findings.
Own vendor evaluations, licensing renewals, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with service management to optimise run costs and platform performance.
Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner with a strong foundation in cloud-native architecture, API integration, and data product delivery. You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
Proven experience in technical product ownership for cloud-based platforms, with a focus on AWS services, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps tooling.
Deep understanding of API lifecycle management, including design, security, versioning, and integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, event-driven).
Hands-on experience with data engineering and modern data platforms, including data pipelines, governance, and observability.
Strong architectural acumen, with the ability to evaluate and influence solution design across distributed systems and microservices.
Track record of leading cross-functional teams in agile environments, managing product backlogs, and driving iterative delivery.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value and influence senior leaders.
Experience managing technology risk, including end-of-service (EOS) planning, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
Vendor and contract management expertise, including licensing renewals, RFI/RFP participation, and performance evaluation.
Familiarity with service management practices, including incident response, run cost optimisation, and continuous improvement.
