As our Technical Service Engineer, you will be in contact with both end users and Axis partners to handle technical support cases for the Oceania region.

You will be required to provide support over the phone, through a web portal system which supports tickets in writing, and through online chat.

Besides having a technical foundation, you need to be able to, simply put, take good care of our customers. We put a lot of weight on the customer care aspect of the job.

This position is based in Melbourne and may involve traveling occasionally to the SAP region and our global HQ in Sweden.

What you will do here:

  • Providing advanced phone, web portal system, and chat support to end-users, resellers/partners, and distributors
  • Working with a case driven system with the responsibility towards the customer for concluding and closing cases
  • At a professional communication level, maintaining a good dialogue with the customer throughout the resolution of a support case
  • Assisting, primarily, the sales office in Oceania, with both after sales and pre-sales support
  • Building technical knowledge and contributing to developing the support function within the team
  • Authorizing warranty exchange (RMA) and handling day-to-day issues with the RMA partner for the region
  • Collaborate with the global technical support team to share ideas and information
  • At your disposal you will have a team of product specialists and all your other technical service colleagues providing you with product specific assistance and general help in the role.

Who are we looking for:

  • Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar Technical Support position
  • Experience from working with customer support
  • Experience in one or more of the areas below are a plus: camera/image knowledge, network protocols, surveillance camera systems, servers and storage systems, access control system, client/server OS and application management.
  • Good understanding of computing and networking.
  • Sound knowledge of basic computer and hardware technology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • You are a service and open-minded individual.
