As an Technical Sales Representative your purpose will be to lead the growth and development of the business products. Your roles will be to create effective market data analysis, plan and prepare the implementation of market strategies in conjunction with marketing segments, regional sales managers and the national accounts team to achieve the business goal.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical backup for our branch network and customers.

  • Grow market share in your business and category speciality.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your account base and Motion’s branch network.

  • Develop robust sales development plans by category and region

  • Focused and effective customer calls and branch visits to support sales development plans.

  • Assist Category Specialists with technical support and troubleshooting.

  • Work with Product Management Team, be actively involved in the resolution of product related warranty issue and to maintain technical liaison with suppliers and clients.

  • Support new technical developments and assist removal of redundant product lines within the driveline category.

  • Analyse product ranging and inventory performance; contribute to sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships to leverage technical resources and sales growth opportunities.

  • Assist with supplier evaluation and support contract growth and reporting for product group agreements.

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided and branch teams promptly resolve customer enquiries and issues.

  • Promote and comply with workplace health, safety & environment (WH&S&E) practices and company policies.

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Formal qualifications in sales, engineering or related technical field are desirable.

  • Demonstrated practical and technical expertise in driveline or related product categories.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.

  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and promoting product offerings.

  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, or technical product sectors is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication 

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering customer-focused solutions.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

  • Strong organisational skills, commercial acumen, and ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
