Job Description

As part of our Technology Transformation it is critical we deliver the right solutions at scale and on time. This Technical Programme Manager role will be key to delivering critical workstreams, driving resolutions of decisions on technology strategy and ensuring the realisation of benefits of the wider programme of work.

What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian

Successful delivery of projects

  • Act as a lead technologist, advising on solution design, technology choices, industry standards, best practice across the release discipline
  • Be conversant with
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, digital, data, and business units to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Support resourcing budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure robust technical architecture and infrastructure planning in collaboration with enterprise architects and engineering leads.
  • Monitor and report on performance using KPIs and metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and value delivery.
  • Champion cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Identify and mitigate interdependencies and risks across workstreams, ensuring resilience and adaptability.
  • Support change management activities to ensure successful implementation and user adoption of new technologies.

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the release strategy champion, advocating the vision and solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Determine the number and nature of release processes within Experian UKI, e.g. feature release, bug fix, hot fix, break glass, vulnerability management etc...
  • Document each release mechanism simplistically, and provide associated roadmaps for the evolution of each one
  • Create, publish and communicate the release strategy roadmap and milestones.
  • Represent release strategy and the art of the possible with extended UKI and Global stakeholders
  • Define, design, monitor, and optimize how CVS releases changes into production systems.
  • Create and manage cross-stakeholder backlog, grooming content and ensuring demand is complimentary to strategy.
  • Design, standardize, and govern the CVS-wide release strategy (deployment pipeline, environment strategy, test strategy).
  • Establish technical patterns and tooling strategy for a truly strategic, agile and market-leading release strategy
  • Publish comprehensive dashboards that reflect the progress of UKI toward agreed release strategy.
  • Implement automated alignment with security, regulatory, and compliance controls.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, compliance, and supporting teams.
  • Govern and continuously optimize the release strategy over time.
  • Provide real-time dashboards and alerts for pipeline health and associated metrics.
  • Transform Experian’s risk and control framework into an automated, codified process.

 

 

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Min 10+yrs of experience
  • Strong technical architecture experience with a focus on CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automation.
  • Hands-on coding ability (architects remain technical in this role).
  • Expertise in designing and governing deployment strategies, environment setups, and test frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong prioritisation and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance frameworks and ability to automate evidence-based controls.
  • Experience with API Management platforms and integration strategies.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform) and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reducing manual processes and improving time-to-market.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate vision, benefits, and expectations clearly.
  • Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., SNOW) and automated workflows.

Comfortable with metrics-driven governance and dashboard creation for release health
