As the Hardware Product Manager - Digital Signage, you will lead the technical direction for product development, and drive the development and performance of our hardware products. With a focus on enhancing features, localization and lifecycle management, you'll work closely with design and engineering teams to deliver feature development, ensuring the products meet both customer and market demands.

Role Accountabilities

  • Understand and prioritize both customer and internal needs (e.g. support) to drive feature development and resolve pain points effectively.
  • Utilise technical skills to monitor field performance and manage data on deployed units, ensuring metric-based decision making for product lifecycle management, roadmaps and EOL strategies.
  • Balance commercial and client needs to achieve win-win outcomes in product development, while also considering total hardware ecosystem within the restaurant space.
  • Work closely with tech, design and business development teams, strategically supporting RFPs and ensuring alignment with marketing to create sellable products.
  • Serve as an SEM on products, attending industry events to stay ahead of market trends, and maintaining a strong understanding of vertical needs in the restaurant space.
  • Own and manage tools to track product development, releases, and performance, ensuring investments are directed towards areas with the highest strategic value.
  • Focus on understanding the cost to serve, build and total cost of ownership (TCO), thinking beyond single products to the entire hardware ecosystem.
  • Maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between market leads, product teams, and other product managers for a cohesive approach to product development.
  • Act as the technical conduit between client needs and product development teams, developing clear client/program profiles to anticipate and meet current and future customer needs.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in Hardware product management essential.
  • Tertiary education in Hardware, Product Management or Technology
  • Technical background in product management - preferred electronic product
  • 5 years experience in relevant field.
  • Microsoft office proficiency
  • Atlassian basic understanding
  • PLM tools
