Role Overview
As a Digital Consultant, you will work across ESG, sustainability, and EHS domains to help clients design integrated digital strategies and implement fit-for-purpose platforms and data ecosystems. You’ll bring a systems thinking mindset to complex technology environments, ensuring data from operations, people, assets, and supply chains is captured, connected, and leveraged for insight and action.
You’ll work closely with sustainability leaders, EHS managers, enterprise architects, and technology partners—bridging strategy and implementation to enable digital maturity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Solution Architecture

Design digital strategies and technical architectures aligned to sustainability, ESG, and EHS goals.

Define and prioritize digital enablers to support decarbonization, health & safety performance, and ESG compliance.

Translate regulatory and voluntary framework requirements into digital capabilities and system needs.
Data & Integration Architecture

Define enterprise data models across sustainability and EHS domains (e.g. emissions, incidents, audits, energy, water, biodiversity, safety observations).

Map data flows and integration touchpoints across enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, EHS systems, OT platforms, HR, SCM, GIS, BI tools).

Design integration architectures using APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, IoT data streams, and cloud-based data platforms.

Support data ingestion and harmonization from field devices, mobile apps, spreadsheets, and legacy systems.
Technology Enablement & Systems Delivery

Evaluate and implement platforms for ESG and EHS management, such as:

ESG & Sustainability Platforms: Watershed, Envizi, SAP Sustainability Control Tower, Sphera Corporate Sustainability Solution, Enablon, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability

EHS Platforms: Enablon, Sphera, Cority, SAP EHS

Contribute to estimation and scheduling of software solution design and delivery phases.

Define system and platform requirements that align with reporting standards and operational performance KPIs.

Support solution configuration, data migration, and reporting/dashboard design and delivery.
Governance, Risk, Compliance & Reporting

Advise on compliance with global sustainability and EHS frameworks, including:

Sustainability/ESG: GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, IFRS S1/S2, CSRD, SFDR, GHG Protocol, TNFD

EHS: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, ICMM, industry-specific compliance requirements

Design and support data assurance, audit trails, and governance models across ESG and EHS systems.

Improve clients’ reporting readiness and automation for annual ESG disclosures, risk registers, incident analytics, and compliance submissions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery

Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams to define requirements and co-create solutions.

Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into technical stories or system requirements.

Collaborate across consulting, technical, and operational teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

4–7+ years' experience in digital transformation, data architecture, or systems consulting with a focus on sustainability, ESG, or EHS.

Strong understanding of ESG and EHS regulatory and voluntary frameworks.

Hands-on experience in designing data and integration architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Familiarity with operational and enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, PI System, MES, SCADA, GIS, EHSS platforms).

Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills

Experience with modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse).

Certifications in cloud architecture, ESG reporting (e.g. GRI, IFRS), or EHS systems.

Sector experience in heavy industries (e.g. mining, energy, utilities, chemicals, manufacturing).
