As the Technical Lead, Machine Learning Engineering,with strong experience in AWS Cloud technologies, You will drive the technical capabilities of the ML function. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver impactful outcomes across our platforms.
- Partner with Product Managers and Data Scientists to deeply understand user problems, market opportunities, and business KPIs.
- Translate commercial objectives into measurable ML goals and system requirements
- Evolve the technical architecture and standards for ML systems, including model training, feature pipelines, serving infrastructure, observability, and retraining workflows
- Act as the senior technical reference point for MLEs and Data Scientists on topics like distributed training, serving architectures, CI/CD, or model monitoring
- Translate technical trade-offs into language accessible to business stakeholders - articulating cost, risk, and expected ROI of ML investments
- Ensure engineering choices (e.g., model type, architecture, infrastructure) are anchored in measurable product and commercial outcomes, not purely technical novelty
- Ensure all models adhere to standards for quality, privacy, and fairness — including reproducibility, explainability, and risk mitigation
What are we looking for?
- Takes ownership of outcomes; demonstrates integrity, transparency, and follow-through
- Proven ability to align ML system design with business strategy and articulate how technical choices drive commercial value
- Success leading technical initiatives from design through production rollout in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience translating product goals (e.g. monetisation, retention) into measurable ML objectives and architectures
- Track record in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining production ML systems at scale
- Expertise in model training, feature engineering, online/offline inference, streaming pipelines, and observability
- Proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn), with solid understanding of software engineering best practices
- Technical agility to lead decision-making across disciplines, and holds others to account
