At Luminary, we pride ourselves on having some of the industry's most talented individuals in our team, and we have a unique opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst to contribute to our client's success.  

In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring, analysing, and optimising our client's web products to ensure maximum user engagement and satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with Technology, Global and Local Marketing teams, Client Services, and Sales teams to foster a culture of collaboration. Additionally, you will support a special project to move content off one CMS and build it onto a new CMS, ensuring a seamless transition, preserving user experience, and enabling effective tracking and analytics.  

This is a 6-8 month full-time contract position based in Melbourne, working in close partnership with one of our key clients. The role will be based on a hybrid work model, requiring 1 day per week to be spent at the client's office, with occasional additional days as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Digital Product Owner and third-party suppliers to understand customer needs and preferences.  
  • Define product requirements and objectives with the Digital Product Owner to manage the product/enhancement roadmap.  
  • Conduct user experience research to identify user needs, pain points, and preferences.  
  • Optimise web experience for better user engagement and satisfaction by working closely with third-party web development teams.  
  • Implement A/B testing and multivariate testing to evaluate the effectiveness of different product features and designs.  
  • Continuously monitor and improve website performance, including page load times, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.  
  • Analyse web product performance using various analytics tools and prepare detailed reports on product performance, user behaviour, and website traffic.  
  • Support the special CMS migration project by:
    • Assisting in the process of moving content off one CMS and onto the new CMS.  
    • Collaborating with relevant teams to ensure content is appropriately mapped and transitioned.  
    • Ensuring that analytics and tracking setup are consistent and accurate across both systems before and after migration.  
    • Participating in testing and validation efforts to confirm that user journeys are not disrupted during the transition.  

Your Background and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in web analytics or product analysis.  
  • Background in marketing with a strong understanding of digital strategies.  
  • Proven success in analysing and optimising web products.  
  • Experience in Financial Services is advantageous.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field.  
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights.  
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.  
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms like Optimizely and Drupal would be a bonus.
