Your Impact and Contribution
As the Technical Product Owner in Platform Hosting, you will manage product lifecycles, strategic decisions, operational excellence, and delivery roadmaps. You'll lead engineers to enhance automation and site reliability practices, contributing significantly to our Group DevSecOps transformation. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Partnering with technology leadership for strategic direction and feasibility input.
- Translating product vision and strategy into actionable tasks and ensuring delivery outcomes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to address complex tech challenges.
- Leading continuous research, data evaluation, and fostering a learning environment.
- Contributing to all product process stages, from problem definition to optimisation.
Your Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience as a Technology Product Owner, preferably in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Linux and T-shaped domain knowledge, combining deep expertise in containerisation technologies with broader engineering skillset.
- In-depth understanding of container primitives and ideally experienced in managing internal container environments.
- Proficiency in coding with languages like Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong grasp of DevOps practices with tools like Kubernetes, Docker.
- Background in software engineering with a focus on driving automation on platforms using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform, and automation-friendly data representations (e.g., YAML, JSON, CSV).
- Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), CI/CD tooling, DevOps practices, and monitoring tools (Observe, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Collaborative mindset, capable of engaging and inspiring teams of highly skilled engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-centric approach, with a keen understanding of user needs and the ability to translate them into actionable product requirements.
