Range - 150K to 180K AUD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mobile development efforts using Flutter, ensuring best practices in code quality, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements for mobile applications.
  • Architect and implement scalable mobile applications that deliver a consistent user experience across Android and iOS.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of mobile developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices in Flutter development.
  • Optimize app performance, including memory management, battery usage, and network efficiency.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in mobile development, particularly in the Flutter ecosystem, and proactively apply them to ongoing projects.
  • Work with QA teams to establish and execute comprehensive testing strategies for mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient data handling in the mobile apps.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile app development, with at least 2 years focused on Flutter.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of mobile developers, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise in Dart programming and Flutter framework, with a deep understanding of Flutter’s architecture and widgets.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app design principles, UX/UI best practices, and platform-specific guidelines for both Android and iOS.
  • Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, Bloc) and integrating with RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, and Firebase.
  • Knowledge of app performance optimization techniques, including profiling and debugging tools for mobile platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with native mobile development (Java/Kotlin for Android, Swift/Objective-C for iOS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Xamarin.
  • Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing and deploying mobile applications with a focus on scalability and high performance.
