Job Description

Lead a team of Claims Consultants and Service Officers to deliver exceptional claims handling and a market-leading customer experience. This role focuses on:

  • Ensuring strong operational disciplines, portfolio management, and stakeholder engagement while managing risk and compliance.
  • Driving a culture of process improvement and embedding best practices in claims handling.
  • Resolving escalated issues and delivering outcomes aligned with TAL’s Claims Philosophy.
  • Contributing to key projects and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry guidelines, processes, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years in a team manager role within financial services or 5 years as a Claims Consultant (or similar).
  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of insurance, with a preference for life insurance experience and claims handling practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven experience in operational management, driving performance, and delivering quality outcomes.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of the Life Insurance Code of Practice and related assessment and operational requirements.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to lead, influence, and engage teams and stakeholders.
