We’re looking for an experienced leader to join our team and oversee a high-performing, customer-focused group of Case Managers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting a team managing a 0–55 week portfolio of workers compensation claims, providing day-to-day guidance and supervision, and supporting them to deliver exceptional recovery and return to work outcomes and customer service.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring portfolios are proactively and effectively managed in accordance with legislative requirements, with a focus on achieving outcomes in line with scheme and internal performance measures.
This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the management of workers compensation claims.
- Pro-actively supervise, develop and support team members ensuring team and organisational objectives are met.
- Provide guidance in relation to the strategic management of workers compensation insurance claims to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure optimum service delivery to our customers.
- Supervise the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a team of Case Managers and work collaboratively with Specialist support teams.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven leadership experience within the Victorian workers compensation industry, including the management of RTW claims and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Strong knowledge of Victorian WorkSafe Agent contractual requirements and performance measures, with a track record of delivering against these targets.
- Well-developed customer service skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with employers and provide strategic support on RTW and injury management.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience in team building, coaching, performance management, and leading through change.
- A genuine passion for developing others, supporting Case Managers to grow their capability, and working collaboratively to drive strong team outcomes.
