About the Role
This is a role within the internal finance team at BDO.
GST & BAS Compliance
Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) for consolidated and non-consolidated entities within the BDO Group
Income Tax PAYG Instalments
Complete monthly PAYGI calculations and lodgement for consolidated BDO Group
Assistance with tax returns for both consolidated and non-consolidated entities (including Trusts) within the BDO Group
Fringe Benefits Tax
Quarterly Fringe Benefits Tax reviews and preparation of return
Other ad-hoc duties/responsibilities
Prepare and lodge Certificate of Tax Residency applications with the ATO
Assistance with salary packaging (including novated leasing arrangements)
Advising different business stakeholders on tax related queries
Skills/Attributes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and engage with others
Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively within a team
Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in understanding processes and improving them over time
Strong attention to detail to support accurate and reliable work
Ability to organise workload, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant
Bachelor of Business/Accounting (or other relevant tertiary qualifications)
CA/CPA qualifies (or working towards)
Experience with Onesource, Workday (beneficial but not essential)
High level of competency in using Microsoft Office suite and tools (i.e Excel and Power Query)
