We're looking for an HR Specialist who's sharp, organized, and genuinely energized by the operational work of building a team — recruiting logistics, onboarding, HRIS management, compliance tracking. Not glamorous in title, but foundational in practice. The people who deliver care to Chicagoland's most underserved patients get hired, onboarded, and supported because someone in this role makes it happen.

What You'll Own
Recruitment Operations
- End-to-end coordination across the hiring pipeline — job postings, interview scheduling, hiring manager communication, offer logistics
- Keeping the process moving so great candidates don't fall through the cracks and hiring managers aren't left waiting
HRIS & Records Management
- Maintaining and updating employee records in ADP with the kind of accuracy and compliance that makes audits boring — which is exactly how you want them
- Serving as the internal point of contact for system questions and process gaps
Onboarding
- Preparing documentation, scheduling orientations, and making sure every new hire shows up on day one with access to what they need
- Setting the tone for what it feels like to join Genesis
Compliance & Training Tracking
- Monitoring certifications and training requirements across a clinical workforce where compliance isn't optional
- Flagging gaps before they become problems
Employee Support
- First-line response to HR process and policy questions — clear, timely, and human
Who We're Looking For
You have at least a year of HR admin experience and you know your way around ADP or a comparable HRIS. You're comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and no two weeks look exactly the same.
You're a systems person. You find genuine satisfaction in a process that runs cleanly, a record that's accurate, and an onboarding experience that doesn't make someone regret accepting the offer.
You're discreet. HR work means handling sensitive information about real people. You understand that and take it seriously.
You communicate clearly. Whether it's a candidate, a hiring manager, or a new employee on day one — you're responsive, professional, and easy to work with.
You care about the mission. You don't have to be a clinician to be mission-driven. The team you're helping to build is delivering orthopedic care to patients who have nowhere else to go. That context matters, and we want someone who feels it.
