You will be responsible for new key account business within the Trade Commercial space.

You will manage relationships with main influencers, including Architects, Builders, Designers, Industry Partners and professional painters, with the goal to turn leads into sustainable and profitable business. Prospecting new business following the state strategy is also within the position remit.

You will collaborate with Consultants across the region to create and share best practices to align with business strategy and help grow the ANZ business.

You will report to the State Business Manager WA.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve the sales, profit and growth targets for trade for assigned territory

• Develop the customer service proposition to support the brand strategy

• Implement specification / sales strategies to achieve both long and short-term goals

• Professional delivery of marketing and promotion activity within the segment maximising revenue for PPG

• Delivering professional product / system presentations to trade customers

• Supply tender development, presentation and management

• Provide product / system specifications

• Develop working relationships with important customers

• Managing and growing a portfolio of important accounts

• Provide market intelligence / feedback on required new product development and product enhancements

• Perform the role following PPG corporate values

• Maintain a sales pipeline for growth in the commercial sector.

Requirements

• Successful track record in business development / account management

• Commercial knowledge of the coatings industry

• High-level negotiation skills

• Computer literacy in MS Office suite

• Excellent communications skills - you will easily establish trust and make people feel comfortable with your easy-going approach.
