KBR, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East Linewide Alliance, is proud to be helping deliver one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.

SRL is a city-shaping program that will transform how people live, work and move around Melbourne. The 90km orbital rail line will connect every major train line, link key precincts, and support thriving communities across the city. SRL East, the first stage of the project, will deliver 26km of twin underground tunnels and six new stations between Cheltenham and Box Hill.

As part of the Linewide Alliance, KBR is delivering critical design services across civil, structural, track, drainage, power, systems and infrastructure disciplines that will support safe and reliable operations of the future rail network.

The Opportunity

  • Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement, workshops and technical reviews.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, project teams and delivery partners.
  • An understanding of safety assurance, hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience with digital engineering, engineering management systems and assurance tools will be highly regarded.
  • Chartered status, or a desire to work towards chartership, will be highly regarded.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
