The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager - APAC will lead the design and execution of IMC's learning strategy across the region. Partnering closely with business leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), you will ensure our people have the skills and capabilities to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
You'll manage a portfolio of programs that are hands-on, practical, and tailored to our trading culture - ensuring development is impactful, repeatable, and sustainable. With responsibility for APAC (currently ~350 employees in Sydney & Korea and a growing presence in Hong Kong), this role offers the opportunity to shape learning at scale while remaining close to the business.

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager - APAC will lead the design and execution of IMC's learning strategy across the region. You'll manage a portfolio of programs that are hands-on, practical, and tailored to our trading culture - ensuring development is impactful, repeatable, and sustainable. What you will do
- Design and deliver engaging, practical training programs across technical, behavioral, and leadership domains for IMC's APAC offices.
- Manage a portfolio of learning initiatives that bring IMC's strategy and vision for talent development to life.
- Own, optimize, and oversee operations of our L&D programs, including needs analysis, resource allocation, delivery, communications, evaluation, reporting, content evolution, and vendor relationships.
- Partner with the Global Head of L&D to create and execute the annual L&D plan for APAC.
- Collaborate with the Learning Systems Specialist to develop, scale, and embed training tools and systems.
- Analyze learner feedback and data to continuously improve programs, ensuring learning consistently moves to the next level.
- Execute with strong project management discipline: manage work plans, prioritize effectively, keep stakeholders informed, and escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure policies and guidelines are followed, while managing exceptions and escalations.
- Contribute to broader HR and IMC initiatives where needed.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years of related experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, delivering high-quality outcomes at pace.
- Strong track record of taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering impactful programs, both directly and in partnership with facilitators, with measurable business results.
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, facilitation, and communications to drive engagement and participation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus across all levels.
- Exceptional communication skills - able to convey ideas and insights concisely and with impact, both in person and virtually.
- Strong analytical skills: able to aggregate and interpret data, identify trends, and tell a clear, compelling story with actionable insights.
- Critical thinker with the ability to identify interdependencies across complex issues and outcomes.
- Ability to produce high-quality deliverables:
- Aggregate data, complete analysis, and present results visually.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations tailored to your audience
- Create clear, professional written communications with a user-friendly layout.
