Sustainability Reporting Lead
Job Description Summary
The role will lead data and performance analysis initiatives to enhance sustainability across key areas such as energy consumption, clean energy, water efficiency, waste management, and net-zero reporting. By understanding our client’s business and property portfolio, you will collaborate with the Sustainability team to deliver impactful sustainability outcomes across property planning, lease management, facilities management, procurement, and building projects.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver on Reporting outcomes in line with contract KPIs and facilitate the delivery of outcomes by the Sustainability team utilising the resourcing model agreed with senior management

Preparation of environmental performance reports (e.g. carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste performance) to support client reporting obligations

Preparation of emissions data & reports required for mandatory legislative reporting schemes (e.g. APS Net Zero, NGERS and NPI)

Maintain integrity and completeness of databases used for reporting, troubleshooting any issues with stakeholders

Analyse and interrogate datasets with relevant stakeholders

Analyse environmental trends within a property portfolio and communicate these to the relevant stakeholder

Develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with clients, and other internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality outcomes

Support the delivery of sustainability strategies, business cases and projects in line with client’s sustainability goals

Develop a thorough understanding of our client’s needs and identify opportunities to deliver innovative reporting services

Regularly maintain documentation and reporting procedures

Mentorship of junior staff

Subject matter expertise for key reporting processes and frameworks
Background and Experience
-
Graduate qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, engineering or related discipline.

Three or more years of experience in sustainability reporting or a similar data management role
-
Demonstrated technical knowledge and professional expertise in relation to sustainability (e.g. energy, renewable energy, waste and water)

Strong analytical skills and ability to draw insights from the data

Excellent proficiency in the use of MS Office and Envizi will be highly valued.

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage stakeholder expectations

Demonstrated ability to communicate well and be proactive with client delivery

Effective communication skills and the ability to engage other areas of the business as required

Strong stakeholder management skills including ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships

Project management and time management skills to prioritise tasks and ensure projects are completed in line with the project plan.

Based in Canberra but open to consider applicants from Sydney and Melbourne
