About the Project
The Southern Program Alliance is contracted by Victorian Government to remove most dangerous and congested level crossings. This is a critical infrastructure project with significant public impact.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability on the Southern Program Alliance (SPA) the Sustainability Lead is responsible to manage all the Sustainability aspects of the Alliance and promote a greater understanding of sustainability within the wider team and leadership to the Sustainability team to foster a strong sense of team and provide value to the Alliance
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop & implement project sustainability objectives and targets in line with legislative and contractual requirement, inclusive of an ISC Rating
- Develop and implement the Project's Sustainability Management Plan including assisting in developing and maintaining the Sustainability budget.
- Manage the sustainability risks on the program or ensure sustainability data is captured
- Ensure sustainability data is captured in accordance with the SPA Management System and responsible for regular reporting to parent companies
- Costs and forecasts are accurately tracked and prepared for applicable costs codes used by the Sustainability team
- Assist in the development and management in the Sustainability team
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Environmental Science or similar
- Ideally 6 years in an Environment role post Graduating with minimum of 3 years in a senior role. Exposure to complex project-based environments within ideally the renewable energy, rail or civil infrastructure space
- Demonstrated capacity of managing ISCA throughout the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated capacity of managing and achieving a Green Star rating.
- Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
