Sustainability Strategy Analyst
Job Description Summary
The role supports the delivery of Sustainability Strategy services in collaboration with Sustainability Strategy Advisors and the broader Cushwake service teams for a key national client. It involves working with account leads to coordinate and implement elements of Sustainability Improvement Programs, including preparing environmental reports and managing environmental initiatives, while representing the Sustainability function in client interactions.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of Sustainability Strategy services in partnership with Sustainability Strategy Lead and the broader Cushwake service teams. Represent Sustainability in dealings with clients:

Work with account leads and advisors to coordinate and deliver elements of Sustainability Improvement Programs, including preparing environmental reports and managing environmental initiatives.

Contribute to the identification and implementation of environmental improvement initiatives.

Manage information and report to the customers as required in relation to:

Specific projects

Achievements against targets
-
New initiatives

In conjunction with Advisory colleagues, organise and attend client meetings, strategy development sessions and workshops.

Prepare environmental reports in line with project requirements as required by the Advisor or Managers.

Engage with internal and external supplier partners to support client strategy delivery.

Liaise with appropriate bodies (Industry Associations, Government Co-ordinating Agencies, electricity and water supply organisations etc).
Background and Experience
-
Minimum 2 years experience in environmental sustainability project management and initiative support.

Experience or understanding in net zero planning and implementation, circular economy, supply chain emissions and ESG materiality principles.

Graduate qualifications in environmental engineering, science, or related discipline qualifications desirable.

Excellent research, analytical, and technical report writing skills.

Knowledge of relevant environmental or energy legislation and regulations (e.g. Net Zero APS and NGERS) desirable.

Ability to work independently [self-starter] and exercise sound judgment.
