B . Nature of Impact:

This role is both operational and strategic with direct impacts on company performance via: 

  • Ensuring updated and accurate information regarding the supply chain to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Export Customers are given a high level of service and care.
  • Updated data base for efficient and effective use of information.

C. Key Responsibilities:

  • Product substitution: Identified and updated in the database. (Suspending old part order number and superseding the product to the new part number for future orders) Completed in MAPICS and Infor.
  • Modify purchase orders in the Australian database and update the comms order in Company 30.
  • Produce the reorder point report to enable the daily function of reorder point purchasing (MRP) and make appropriate decisions regarding the reordering of parts. Distribute order requirement to Purchasing/Master Data Officer for ordering.
  • Perform the daily function of identifying ad-hoc spare part requirements through producing various reports.
  • Assisting the Financial Department with calculations for costing for PSS products.
  • Create the CSP in the data base and activate it for customer use.
  • Supporting the receipt and billing of Chinas billing items.
  • Working closely with the Shipping Coordinator to ensure export customers’ orders are transferred and shipped in an effective manner. Ensuring we are looking at time and cost and time restraints.
  • Billing of direct shipments to export customers to ensure custom legalities are adhered to.
  • Assisting the Marketing team with ordering and receipting of Marketing items ensuring correct procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and maintain MAPICS interface error transactions on a daily basis.  This includes the reconciliation of production monitoring control, resolving parcel manifesting errors and clear plant propagation issues when they arise.
  • Ensure that spare parts sales orders are entered into the computer system, pick slips are released into the warehouse and purchase orders are entered in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Create daily various reports.  These include the sales orders/items created report, and the purchase orders/items created report.  Assist the time in motion reporting as directed.
  • Undertake stock out maintenance and inventory transfers through the investigation and reconciliation of parts on picking slips which have been marked as shortage or zero stock.  Investigate material movements and bin locations.
  • Personal development through the company’s Linked in learning program.
  • Other duties as required to fulfil the role

  • Participate in continual improvement initiatives, innovations and new projects and contribute suggestions for improvements and/or efficiencies to enable ongoing quality improvement.
  • Train and guide new or less experienced team members on processes and systems and provide support as required.
  • Accepts responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.  Can be relied upon to achieve results with limited supervision. Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality of both written and electronic information and commitment to ethical standards of MTD Products Australia.
