We are seeking a talented individual to join our Supplier Management team at Mercer Super. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Supplier Relationship Manager
The Supplier Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the Mercer Super’s relationships with third-party service providers, both related parties and external suppliers.
Reporting to the Head of Supplier Management, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, enhancing service delivery, and driving strategic initiatives that align with the Mercer Super’s objectives.
We will count on you to:
- Oversee and manage the overall relationship with third-party service providers, ensuring alignment with the Fund's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with service owners to monitor compliance with agreements and commercial arrangements.
- Facilitate regular governance meetings to review performance and address any issues proactively
- Develop and implement joint strategic plans with partners, focus on alignment to Mercer Super’s vision and strategy
- Identify and deliver new strategic initiatives that enhance service offerings and member experience.
- Ensure strategy execution enables positive member outcomes and compliance to regulatory obligations.
- Manage high-value contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations and service level agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
What you need to have:
- Broad experience in managing complex vendor relationships within the superannuation or financial services industry
- Proven track record in managing high value contracts and strategic partnerships
- Extensive experience in relationship management, commercial management and service management in the financial service industry.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Advanced oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and project management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
