About the Role

ClickUp is hiring a Strategic Solutions Engineer to accelerate partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue across the APAC region. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise pre-sales, partner enablement, and solution architecture. You will serve as the technical force multiplier that enables upmarket partners (Solution Partners, GSIs, and enterprise resellers) to independently acquire, implement, and expand ClickUp within their customer base, driving ARR growth and net retention.

Your primary mandate is to increase the volume and quality of revenue that flows through partners, working alongside Partner Managers and Account Executives. You are a builder-scaler: standing up enablement programs from a proven playbook, iterating on them, and scaling them to drive repeatable partner-led revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner Enablement & Technical Development: Design and deliver structured enablement programs (workflow mapping, narrative decks, AI Agents, AI workflows, business process mapping, competitive positioning), coach partners on discovery, demos, solution design, and pricing, and drive partner certification and self-sufficiency across APAC.

  • Co-Selling & Revenue: Serve as technical lead on partner-sourced deals from discovery through POC to post-sales handoff, coach partners to run standard deals independently, and tie all activities to measurable revenue outcomes (partner-sourced and partner-influenced iARR, win rate, deal velocity).

  • Direct Customer Engagement: Support Account Executives on strategic direct opportunities, leading discovery, solution design, demos, and technical evaluations alongside the partner motion.

  • Partner Acquisition & Development: Lead technical demonstrations and deep-dives for prospective partners, support recruitment as the technical closer, and elevate existing partners by showcasing new platform capabilities that expand their practice opportunity.

  • AI & Certified Agents: Enable partners to identify, scope, and sell Certified Agent opportunities, deliver AI transformation workshops, and serve as the regional bridge between the internal AI/Agent team and the partner ecosystem.

  • Events & Marketing: Lead or support partner-driven events (workshops, in-market tours, executive dinners), develop enablement content, and contribute to partner case studies and proof points.

  • Reseller-Model Support: Support partner-owned billing, procurement, and renewal workflows, enable partners on expansion motions, and coordinate with Professional Services on co-delivery oversight and escalation paths.

  • Internal Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Professional Services, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and global Solutions Engineering teams to resolve technical questions, assist with RFPs, and feed partner insights back into product and process improvements.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise pre-sales, solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.

  • 2+ years supporting or enabling channel partners, VARs, system integrators, or working in a partner-led go-to-market motion.

  • Demonstrated ability to build programs from scratch (not just execute existing ones).

  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to connect product capabilities and technical details to business outcomes for different audiences.

  • Experience designing or explaining solutions involving APIs, web services, automation, integrations, workflow configuration, or lightweight technical validation.

  • Strong background in business process mapping, including the ability to analyse, document, and improve complex business processes across diverse environments.

  • Ability to create credibility with partners, AEs, and customers, handle objections thoughtfully, and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Hands-on experience with AI & LLMs, integration platforms (Unito, Workato, Zapier, Integromat), web services, and APIs.

  • Strong commercial judgment, structured problem-solving, and comfort managing multiple concurrent priorities with urgency and limited supervision.

  • Up to 50% of travel is required for this role.

Location
  • This role is open to candidates across Australia, with Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane preferred.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
