Meet the team behind this journey

We’re looking for an energetic, motivated, and articulate team player to join the growing DeepL Sales team as a Strategic Sales Development Representative (Korean & Japan Market). This role will focus primarily on Korea as a primary region, with Japan as a secondary region. The ideal candidate will bring strong outbound sales skills, a deep understanding of Korean business culture and B2B market practices, and the ability to engage with prospects across Korea and Japan. Qualified candidates should be self-starters with a proven track record of success, excited about SaaS and language technology, and motivated to join a fast-paced, global tech scale-up.

Your responsibilities
  • Create a fantastic first impression to prospects and customers while building a pipeline for DeepL Account Executives

  • Lead outbound prospecting efforts, leveraging a multi-channel approach to connect with leads in Korea (primary market) and Japan (secondary market)

  • Build curiosity and excitement on the prospects’ side to evaluate DeepL’s B2B offerings

  • Organize and categorize sales lead information in Salesforce

  • Research accounts and build a hypothesis on challenges, connecting them to DeepL solutions

  • Collaborate with the wider APJ sales team to share learnings and continuously improve outreach strategies

  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas of activities and qualified opportunities

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture and bring energy to a fast-growing environment

Qualities we look for
  • Language Requirements: Korean native, Japanese business, English business or communicational

  • Deep understanding of Korean business culture and Korean B2B market

  • Strong outbound motion with proven ability to engage decision-makers and build pipeline

  • Active listener with the ability to gather customer requirements and connect them to DeepL’s solution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across Korean, Japanese, and English

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Passion for developing a career in technology sales
