Job Description:
Mars has an exciting long-term contract to join our Pet Nutrition segment as an analyst. This position provides support to the Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) team and wider One Demand function. The role is designed to ensure that Mars Pet Nutrition (MPN) SRM maintains its focus on driving Value creation within the local market, supporting the development of all associates on SRM capabilities and providing a key point of contact for supporting SRM’s Value Strategy and Execution.
In this role, you will support the One Demand team in identifying trends, opportunities to formulate action plan recommendations which deliver sustainable, profitable revenue growth for the segment & our customers through consumer, category understanding; leveraging price, pack, mix, promotions & trade investment. You'll drive outcomes through increased trade investment productivity, net price realization and improved mix.
What will be your key responsibilities?

Deployment of portfolio promotional strategy, development of annual trade promotional plans/recommended actions and overall management of the local market trade promotional practice.

Lead the execution and management of agreed trade promotional Strategy for the Brand/Portfolio.

Partnering with Head of Revenue Strategy to develop and deploy channel/ pack type trade promotional guidelines for account teams on a periodic basis.

Partnering closely with key account teams to ensure >80% of Trade spend analysed at the program/event level to optimize Trade ROI at the total account/budget level.

Consolidating and Inputting recommendations to promotional exceptions sign off as part of Pricing Council. Ensuring agreed actions are managed on time in full.

Lead the execution, planning and management of agreed trade architecture Strategy for Channels through:

Developing customer margin roadmap alongside Key accounts, S&F & SRM teams, maximizing trade investment productivity to deliver mutual value & profit growth.

Consolidating trade investment exception recommendations and approvals as part of Pricing Council & S&OP+, ensuring agreed actions are documented & implemented on time in full

Experience in a blue chip FMCG/ CPG organisation with an analytical or commercial background preferred.
