About the Role

Team Global Express is looking for a Strategic Account Manager - Partners to join our Sales team in Melbourne.

In this role, you will lead key wholesale partner relationships, ensuring current business stays strong while identifying new growth opportunities. You will work with top-tier wholesale partners dedicated to supply chains across various industries, helping them expand their customer base and use more of TGE’s services.

This is a national role, and you will be the main point of contact for your accounts, collaborating with different teams to deliver excellent results. Reporting to the Head of Sales - Partners, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale partners.

  • Help partners grow their business with TGE while ensuring current services run smoothly.

  • Identify new business opportunities and explore ways to provide more value to partners.

  • Work with internal teams (operations, finance, sales support) to solve problems and deliver great service.

  • Lead regular account reviews and check-ins with partners.

  • Track sales opportunities and pipeline using Salesforce.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience managing and selling complex B2B solutions to large business customers, including identifying, qualifying, proposing, and closing sales opportunities with long sales lead times.

  • Extensive experience in managing large accounts, particularly in a B2B environment, with a proven track record of expanding and retaining key clients.

  • Strong experience in developing and delivering sales proposals and presentations to secure new business and drive growth within existing portfolios.

  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels, including C-suite executives, fostering long-term partnerships and trust.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing strategies to retain and grow a customer portfolio, ensuring ongoing business success and client satisfaction.

  • A strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on delivering results and maximizing revenue growth.

  • Commercial acumen: Demonstrated experience in customer and opportunity planning, revenue forecasting, and understanding revenue and margin optimization.

  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activities and pipeline management.

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is a plus but not essential. Knowledge of these industries will be an advantage.

  • A customer centric team player who collaborates effectively across departments to drive results and achieve business objectives.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with brokers, wholesalers or third-party sales partners.

  • Experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, Intermodal, Courier, Express Parcels or Palletised business.

  • A background in managing or selling services within the logistics, Transport, or supply chain industries.
