Your New Role and Responsibilities

At Leidos Australia, our Matrix Engineering Team is a hub of technical excellence, supporting mission-critical programs across Defence, Intelligence, and Federal Government portfolios.

As a Storage Engineer, you will:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise storage and data protection platforms (NetApp and Commvault).
  • Design, implement, administer and upgrade storage infrastructure, including firmware and software.
  • Perform backup, restore and recovery activities to support operational and incident requirements.
  • Follow ITSM processes, including incident, problem management, post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure storage services meet security, regulatory, quality and operational standards across the enterprise.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

  • Substantial hands-on experience with NetApp storage technologies and Commvault data protection.
  • Proven experience administering large-scale enterprise storage and backup environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with storage capacity planning, utilisation and performance management (including AIQUM).
  • Strong background working in large enterprise or project-based engineering environments.
  • Relevant NetApp certifications or equivalent professional experience, with strong cloud infrastructure exposure (AWS, Azure or GCP).
