About the Role
As Australia’s leading telecommunications company, Telstra’s success relies on our relationships, engagement and understanding with the external environment. Ensuring that Telstra has effective systems and processes in place to manage our stakeholder engagement is critical to our success.
This new role is critical to delivering Telstra’s organisational wide Stakeholder Engagement roadmap and framework.
The key functions of this role will be:
- Support the implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Framework and Governance.
- Support the implementation of the governance system for the co-ordination of enterprise-wide stakeholder engagement roadmap.
- Work across the business to understand, collate and communicate stakeholder insights.
- Develop data library of stakeholder insights and use it to deliver meaningful insights.

What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Framework and Governance, including regular reporting and review of activities under the framework.
- Manage the quarterly Stakeholder Insights Forum including preparation of pre-reading materials, speaking notes, post meeting reporting and actions.
- Support stakeholder engagement reporting.
- Support the implementation of the governance system for the co-ordination of enterprise-wide stakeholder engagement roadmap.
- Work across the business to understand, collate and communicate stakeholder insights.
- Develop data library of stakeholder insights and use it to deliver meaningful insights.
- Support the Stakeholder Engagement Community of Practice through developing regular engagement opportunities with the group.
- Support the development and implementation of a culture and capability program to support stakeholder engagement.
- Work with the team to embed stakeholder engagement practices across the business, and champion the importance of stakeholder engagement.
About You
You will be bringing these skills & experiences to be succesful in the role:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in arts, communications, law, (social) science, business, or engineering
- Excellent organisational and delivery capability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate high degree of self-drive and able to work well both alone with high autonomy and as part of a team
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement programs
- Experience working on program implementation to deliver customer and business outcomes
- Proven communication skills with the ability to write and communicate across a range of formats and audiences
- Commercial acumen, understanding business imperatives and drivers, and the ability to develop compelling opportunities as a commercial lever
