About The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be at the intersection of technical leadership and hands-on development, helping to shape the future of Jasper’s multi-modal AI platform. This role requires a full-stack skill set, with expertise in both frontend and backend development, to create seamless, high-performance experiences for our users.
You’ll work on a mix of rapid Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to explore new UX ideas and validate technical feasibility, while also designing and building complex, scalable systems that support Jasper’s long-term vision. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design to bring ideas to life, ensuring that our technology not only works but delights customers.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy balancing fast iteration with long-term architectural thinking, thrive in an environment where experimentation and innovation are encouraged and are excited to drive impact across the entire stack.

What you will do at Jasper

Architect, design, and build scalable, high-performance full-stack applications.

Develop quick proof-of-concepts to experiment with innovative user experience ideas and validate technical feasibility.

Lead technical projects, ensuring best practices in system architecture, frontend/backend development, and code quality.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and AI teams to drive technical strategy.

Take ownership of critical parts of the platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Contribute hands-on to both frontend and backend codebases, mentoring other engineers along the way.
What you will bring to Jasper

7+ years of experience designing and building full-stack systems, from UI to backend services and databases.

Proven experience in a Tech-Lead or Engineering Manager capacity; leading teams, setting technical direction, and fostering team growth.

Strong track record of delivering high-impact projects and driving engineering efforts across teams.

Ability to quickly prototype and iterate on ideas while maintaining a long-term engineering vision.

Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on building user-friendly, scalable, and maintainable software.

Passion for mentoring and developing engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
