As part of the Apply With Ease Crew of Home Buying, you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding, deployment, and operation. Our products and services guide Australians through the easiest and fastest home loan application process in the market, providing real-time assessment and the confidence to secure their dream home.

Our squad’s purpose is to enhance the efficiency of the verification process by systematising verification rules and steps to remove human intervention, enabling real-time auto verification. Our primary focus is on building a robust Verification Engine that eliminates the need for customers to provide evidence and reduces manual checks performed by lenders, brokers, and operations. We achieve this by developing and implementing digital verification rules that utilise trusted data sources for automatic verification.

You will work closely with the Squad Tech Lead, Product Managers, and UX Designers to bring new features to life, keep our systems running smoothly, mentor junior team members, share your ideas, and see them executed.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust backend and full-stack applications.
Monitor and optimise system performance for high availability and reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough code reviews.
Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance system architecture.
Develop new features and continuously improve existing ones.
Promote a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.

Technical Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Solid experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, NestJS, AWS/Azure
Programming experience with .net
Familiarity with full cycle engineering, including test automation (unit, integration, and e2e tests).
Experience building scalable, high-performance, and secure APIs.
Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL DBs like AWS DocumentDB.
