The purpose of this role is to provide design, implementation and support in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for an IT service, across one or multiple portfolios.
About the role and team:
The Network Security Engineering team is responsible for delivering network security requirements and implementation to achieve business outcomes.
The GTS Networks team is responsible for delivering, supporting and continuously improving the Bank’s Global Network and Security services.
Our Global Technology Services (GTS) products and services are leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSee, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au

Act as a technical mentor and thought leader for platform engineering standards and architecture

Technical Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience of F5 BIG-IP, F5OS, LTM, DNS modules and iRule development
Possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP and HTTP understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows
Good understanding of network concepts, routing and switching and firewall security policy management
Excellent understanding and exposure to network automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD, DevSecOps
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in DevSecOps (e.g Ansible, Python, Terraform, Github, IaC, APIs etc)
Possess advanced knowledge in source control management such as GitHub, GitLab
AWS: Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Serverless, Step Functions or any other services
Experience in creation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, JENKINS/TeamCity or similar orchestrators
Discovery and validation of network connectivity requirements using enterprise tools such Observe, Splunk, SolarWinds, Qualys, and Grafana
Contribute to the documenting of current infrastructure services in order to ensure better future technology roadmaps
Managing escalated issues, incidents & problems for network and security services
