We’re seeking an experienced Staff Front End Engineer to join our Continuous Feedback team. You will be instrumental in evolving how employees give and receive real-time feedback through intelligent, AI-supported experiences, directly influencing product direction and technical quality. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll shape how our front end engineering practice evolves within the Camp, with opportunities for impact beyond your immediate team.
Continuous Feedback is a core component of our Perform product, designed to deliver fair and actionable feedback to help develop individuals and teams. Our mission for this team is clear: make feedback accessible, seamless, and valuable for all users—helping organisations build cultures where everyone can thrive.
You will
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and implementation of large-scale AI-supported front end solutions in React and Typescript, directly supporting critical product experiences in Continuous Feedback. This includes designing intuitive UIs for intelligent feedback analysis, surfacing relevant insights, and guiding user interactions.
- Champion the adoption of engineering best practices—including accessibility, quality, performance, and maintainability—drawing on Culture Amp’s unified Next.js-based front end stack and the Kaizen Design System
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn customer problems into product outcomes. You’ll help define, slice, and deliver features that make a real impact for managers and employees using feedback daily
- Act as a multiplier across teams: mentor, coach, and upskill fellow engineers. Help shape the growth of our front end practice by contributing to cross-camp initiatives, solution previews, design reviews, and RFCs
- Lead efforts in both the ambiguous and the urgent: tackle complex, legacy technical challenges and navigate the fast-changing needs of our product landscape, providing clarity for others as you go
- Influence and uphold the Continuous Feedback team’s engineering standards—owning system quality and supporting the ongoing evolution of how feedback is delivered, requested, and managed in our platform
You Have
- Significant, hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale SaaS front ends using React, Typescript, and modern web technologies. Familiarity with Next.js, Storybook, and design systems (like Kaizen or comparable) is a strong plus
- You bring deep knowledge of web application architecture, performance optimisation, accessibility, and user-centric design. You’re comfortable “owning” the quality and standard of solutions delivered
- A track record of technical leadership: you’ve shaped engineering practices or frameworks across teams, led significant technical initiatives, and coached peers or juniors to higher quality and autonomy
- Strong sense of ownership—proactively identify roadblocks, technical debt, and “next right things” for your team and the broader front end community at Culture Amp
- Experience collaborating successfully with cross-functional teams (product, design, research, backend), balancing fast delivery with scalable and maintainable solutions
- You excel in ambiguity and thrive on being the person to bring clarity, structure, and technical leadership to new and evolving product spaces
- You care deeply about customer and user experience and want to transform how feedback is given and received at work
- Bonus: Experience with SaaS performance management, feedback, people or HR tech products
